Ron the Rooster

Hello everyone, I wanted to introduce myself and join my friends in the Miriam Lord Zoo.  My name in Ron the Rooster and I live in Mr Harrison's office.  It is my favourite place in school as it is always clean and tidy, unlike where some of my friends live next door.


I have lived at Miriam Lord for a few years, and was here when the new classrooms and offices were built.  Unfortunately, when they were being built, a workman dropped a large brick on my head.  This may seem funny to you, but it has made me very anxious when walking in open spaces.  This is why I am always looking up, and my eyes are a bit funny, but I don't like to talk about it.



My favourite thing in the world is ICT!  Here I am surfing the web and looking on RoosterBook.  I also like keeping in touch with all my friends on twitter.

I am really looking forward to meeting everyone in the Miriam Lord Zoo, hopefully they won't make fun of me.

    Hi Ron, are you related to Mr Harrison, there is a very familiar look about you...
    We are glad you have joined the zoo but are not sure you will like our class :-( it is really comfy, cozy, lots to look at, and stimulating "displays" all over the walls and surfaces. Every surface contains a new adventure! Some people might call it messy, we call it home. There are a lot of Science experiments (evaporation and filtering) cluttering every surface but if you wear a hat on your head you will be quite safe with us, you might even meet Ian who hasn't appeared on the blog yet as he is too busy playing in the sandpit. Welcome to our world.

    Hello Ron!

    You're an ICT expert? You'll fit in very nicely with all the Miriam Lord children, who will be able to share with you what they've learnt in ICT. I do have a question for you though, how do you type on your computer? Do you do tap dance across the keyboard?

    Thank you all for your lovely comments. Because of all the hours that I put in at the gym I am able to type by bending over and using my beak. But I quickly flip back up between each letter to check above me...
