Gertrude the GTP Goat

Hello everyone,
I am Gertrude the GTP goat. I am trying to be a full time goat, and one day hope to have a field of my own. I am currently training very hard to be a real goat.

I am quite new to Miriam Lord, but feel like all my friends there are really making me feel welcome. I hope you will be my friend too.

I can sometimes be found chewing grass in 5SW. I really enjoy literacy and ICT, and there are lots and lots of books for me to read there.

I hope to see you soon

Gertie X

Hi Gertie, welcome to Miriam Lord. What does GTP mean? come next door tomorrow and say Hi to Romulus and Remus, maybe we can all act the goat together!

  2. Welcome to Miriam Lord Gertrude. I am sure if you keep working hard you will one day have a field of your own.

Hello Gertie, I bet the Year 5 children were excited to meet you. I prefer to eat meat (don't panic, I don't eat goat) and Barry only ever eats bananas. I look forward to seeing what you get up to in Year 5 as I have heard that the teacher in there plans to do some animation this half term.... you are so lucky, let us know if you need any "extras" for your film.

  4. Hello Gertie! Welcome to the bestest class around! Can I ask a question please? What does GTP stand for? I haven't got any other goat friends to ask so I hope you don't mind!

  5. Hello Gertrude I hope you like it where you live and you will learn a lot.Have you met Alan the T-Rex and Barry because they will really cheer you up.I hope you have a lot of fun here in Miriam Lord.

  6. In the goat world GTP means Goat Training Programme, but the teacher who looks after me says it actually means the Graduate Teaching Programme.

    I hope that helps.
Thank you for all your warm welcomes

  7. Hello Gertie,

    Welcome to Miriam Lord!
You look a little shy in your photo. I imagine you were nervous meeting all the children in 5SW for the first time. However, I'm sure you're going to have a great time with the children.

I agree with you about the books, the shelves are crowded with them! Which one will you choose to read first? Maybe one of your new friends can recommend their favourite book to you. I can't wait to hear which one you choose.

  8. Hello Gertrude, and well come to Miriam lord.I hope you make good friends with your class mates now that your here.
